Safeway System introduce the new x-ray software 2023 as shown below,

The white area in the upper part of the main interface is the display area of scanned imaged. When the article to be inspected is sent into the inspection channel, the scanned images of the article will be displayed in this area in the form of a scroll during the scanning process. Below the image display area are the status information area and the image navigation area.

Color / Black & White

While the image is displayed, press the key on the special keyboard to switch the display between two color modes. The color image has 4 colors, which divide the scanned article into 4 categories, orange indicates organic matters, blue indicates inorganic matters, green indicates mixture, and black (or red) indicates uncertain material properties, generally referring to impenetrable objects. When the button is operated, the display is switched between color image and grayscale image, as shown below.

The equivalent atomic numbers Zeff of explosives and drugs are relatively concentrated in the interval [7, 9], as shown in Table 5.1.

When the image is displayed, press the key on the special keyboard to enter enhanced display of suspected organic matters. It is to further highlight organics with equivalent atomic numbers Zeff=7, 8 or 9. You can view the organics with equivalent atomic number Zeff=7, 8 or 9 in turn. At this moment, other areas of the image are displayed in gray, and only the area where the organics with the specified equivalent atomic number are located is displayed in purple, which is convenient for viewing suspicious items, as shown in below

Image zoom in/out

When the image is displayed, press on the special keyboard to zoom in/out of the image, and a thumbnail of the enhanced image is displayed in the lower right corner. Use the arrow keys to move the magnified area of the displayed image. You can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in the image flexibly, use the left mouse button to drag the image, or press on the special keyboard to drag the image when the image has been zoomed in.
